Pomelo Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Pomelo ("the app") converts and edits files on your iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what happens to your data. In short: Pomelo doesn't collect any data, and your files never leave your device.
Your files
- Everything Pomelo does (converting, compressing, removing metadata, reading text and QR codes, cutting out backgrounds, making GIFs and PDFs) runs on your device, using Apple's built-in frameworks.
- Files you open in Pomelo are not uploaded anywhere. Pomelo has no servers and makes no network connections to process them.
- Converted files are kept in the app's own storage on your device so you can find them under Recent. You can delete them at any time by swiping an item in Recent, or by deleting the app.
- Pomelo only saves to your photo library when you tap Save to Photos, and only adds items (it asks for "Add Only" access and can't read your library). Files you pick with the photo or file picker are shared with Pomelo one at a time, by you.
Data we collect
None. Pomelo has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. The App Store privacy label for Pomelo is "Data Not Collected".
Purchases
Pomelo Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Pomelo never sees your payment details. To know whether Pro is unlocked, the app asks the App Store on your device; this check is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
Pomelo doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
This website
pomelofiles.app counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify or follow you across sites. The site sets no cookies. It remembers your theme and language choice in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date. Because Pomelo doesn't collect data, a change could never apply to data collected before.
